User permissions in a Shared SQL DB

We have installed BCM with Outlook 2007 and setup shared db on SQL Server.
Now we would like to assign different access rights to users. For example
some users should only be able to read data whilst others can update the same
data.
Ideally we would like to assign these permissions at the account level
rather than at the db level.

As far as I'm aware BCM does not have this feature, so the only way is to try
on db-level. There is an article stating that somewhere in BCM blog, I guess.

BCM does not have roles and permissions. For a CRM tool with those,
look at MSCRM.
