Heh i got the same motherboard
i dont think you need any thing else.
although with my card i got a wierd little USB thing that connected to the mother board and was held by a PCI bracket. well considering you already have 4 USBs? i think why would you need any more?

Yes, just plug in the PCI card, they usually come with four ports. XP will probably recognise it, but you may need to add a little software that will be supplied with the card.

You could also consider an external hub that will plug into one existing slot, they come in all different sizes.

I have four at the back; two at the front and four on my monitor which plugs into one of the rear slots, giving me a total of nine.

Used thus:

1) Printer
2) Scanner
3) Joypad
4) Joystick

And I plug my camera in and out of a front port.

I'm still using the PS2 sockets for mouse and keyboard.

No, you 'slot it in' and away you go ... However, USB requires "power" to run and on an internal card that power must be supplied from your PC. Will it cope?

As your system comes with 6 already a simple solution, so as not to have a power problem, is to use/buy an "external powered hub" ... make sure it has its own power, cheap as chips. But also be aware some peripherals do not like to be connected to a hub ... they don't tell you that ... an example is some USB Modems.

I'm not grouchy by nature, it takes constant effort.

Hey how good are you with a Dremmel??? You can get the internal usb connection, it plugs into your mother board(depending on board I think its one of the AUX slots) and then you have to mount it somewhere. Now this is the fun part, mount it where ever you wish-- I did mine in the front lower left corner. But hey who's to stop you from mounting it comming out of the top of the pc for you webcam or jumpdrives. Takes a little time -- For me total was about 2hrs mostly planning cutout and mounting- came out well though. But really, 4 isn't enough i only use 3 i think, the front ones are for MP3 player and cell phone, and those I don't leave in. Maybe for you external hub is the way to go.
