I have USB speakers connected to the main USB port, they show up as being
enabled and working properly in the device manager, but the audio control
panel says no audio device is attached. How do I fix this?

I think youneed to install your sound card drivers.
Look under the sound section in Device Manager and post back here what is
listed there.
