USB printing support stops after a few pages...

I have a windows 2000 Pro workstation with an epson color
printer installed using USB. The printer prints fine for
a minute or so and then stops. The only way to get the
printer working again is to go into device manager and
unistall USB printing support and allow it to redect and
reinstall. It repeats the cycle over and over. Any
ideas? Thanks, NB
