It could also be a bad USB port. I had a USB device plugged into a front usb
port on my case, and my speaker fell off its mount and landed on the cable
plugged into the USB drive. It physically broke the top usb port and the
bottom one comes up with USB device ont recognized. However the top still
works, its just loose because a piece of plastic broke off.
