hi,

i did try to upgrade my xp home edition to xp prof. i've bought a package
for bootable & upgrade ms xp prof edition (with adv security).

PC detected the problem & automatic shut down to prevent pc damage during
upgrade process. The application failed to close & reboot the pc every time
it encounter same pro. I try to stop or end the installation, but it seem
helpless (ctrl-del-alt or shutdown pc).

When pc restart it went to same screen "installation progress" (with cd
insert).

Question
1) am my PC face a very serious problem??
2) how can i restore my xp home edition?
3) how can i cancel the installation?
4) what is possiblelity caused for this problem??

Please help.

Thanks

Regards
Chris

Can you be very specific as to WHAT you bought? (What does it actually say
on the CD?)

What problem? Be more specific, including exact error messages.

Hi gordon,

Thanks for the supporting. The problem was there some file corrupted inside
the upgrade/bootable cd. The installation unable to complete & prompt the
error & restart the pc as well durng installation time. Luckily, i bought
another cd & complete the installation.

My pc running well, now.
