I have been tasked to upgrade 60 Clients from Windows 2000 to Windows
XP. I think a manual installation on these computers will take far too
long
As such, i wish to ** upgrade ** the Clients from a network
installation point, automatically, without being prompted for the
product key or any other information for that matter.
Can I perform an administrative install of XP to a network
installation point, in order to only input the Product ID once and
then roll Windows updates to the installation point? Or do just copy
the CD to a share and use some sort of unattend.txt file?
I have access to SMS 2.0 and all the clients have the SMS client
installed, but if there's an alternative option, for example, a
command line I can run, I will try that also.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Any additional information can
also be provided if neccesary.
