upgrade of Internet Explorer failed -- hung msiexec process on reboot

I had an SMS update pushed to me by my Corp IT team for
Internet Explorer 6. Unfortunately, the install did not
work properly and now I have the hung 'ie5msi.exe' process
and 'msiexec.exe' constantly consuming all of my CPU up to
80%. Even if I reboot my computer the processes are still
there consuming 80% or less of the CPU time.

I have tried to just install the 'ie6setup.exe' file
separately in order to try to complete the install process
manually however, now since the 'ie5msi.exe' and
the 'msexec.exe' are always running everytime I reboot, I
get an error message that the previous Internet Explorer
didn't complete.

I've even tried to update my computer with all the latest
updates from the http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
website and that hasn't helped.

Please assist.

Thanks,

Lance
