Hi. I have Windows 98SE and am upgrading to XP. I am not
doing a clean install because of all the software I would
have to reinstall. So then is this the best procedure:

Remove Win98 ATI drivers.
Install generic Win98 Driver.
Upgrade to XP, install generic driver.
Run the ATI install, install XP drivers.

Thanks for your help.

I recently did that same upgrade, except I did nothing with the
drivers before install. The install program removed the old drivers
and installed the generic perfectly. A few days later, after fighting
a lot of other fires, I finally got around to installing the latest
from ATI with no problem.
