Would like to upgrade to win 2000 pro from 98. Like 98 you
can logon to a domain while maintaining a workgroup.

Is it at all possible to upgrade to win 2000 join the
domain but also maintain a workgroup enviroment?

Fortress remote console needs to admin based on workgroups.

What do you think?

Thanks

Mo

Greetings --

A Win2K Pro workstation can be a domain member _or_ a workgroup
member; it cannot be both. The networking paradigms are mutually
exclusive. (A Win98 machine _cannot_ ever become a domain member,
although a properly authenticated user can use it to access domain
resources, making it appear to the uninitiated that it was a domain
member.)
