I was trying to update Microsoft AntiSpyware, but it said
that the software cannot contact the server. I made sure
that my Internet connection works (since I can post in this
newsgroup) and gave the software full permission to access
the internet from my firewall. Is there a reason why?

>Hi !

I'm having thesame problem with the update service! I DID
however managed to send -found threaths- to the
spywarecomunity with the program itself, so I think that
it is a temporary ploblem with the server at microsoft,
OR, updates are NOT available with/for the Beta
version ?! J.P.vdn Eeden - the Netherlands-

Don't know reason, but I share the problems ...apparently
many others do as well.

Hi Kenneth,

<Is there a reason why?>
Thinking the servers burped. I hit it from 3 different connections here and
came up short also.

I haven't tested at this moment, but there have been temporary outages
before. Updates are definitely available for this beta--in fact there have
been three versions of definitions since the beta was released.
