This maybe caused by incompatible filters installed by other software.
So initially, we are going to try disabling/enabling filters in WMM 2.1.
Turning off filters in WMM will not effect them in other applications.
1) Open WMM, click: Tools/Options, then click the Compatibilty tab
2) Listed maybe several filters, as you've detailed interVideo, that filter
will be listed? Also DirectShow. This process of turning Off/On filters
will now be trial and error to eliminate possible problematic settings.
3) To turn Off, clear checkbox, to turn On, select checkbox.
4) You may find several listed that appear to be titled the same, these
are different versions, Initially try by disabling all apart from Windows
filters.
5) This trial and error process can be quite laborious. Each time you
disable/Enable, try capture etc.
