Getting the error message -
Unhandled Exception: Error Number 0x80040706 - Object reference not
set

When running the InstallShield wizard on Win2000 SP4.

I tried removing the temp files, turned off my antivirus software,
Updated to the Latest InstallShield Installation Engines.

Any help?

Hope you have seen this. When I faced this problem it was
the existance of the application on the system. I had
tried installing and had aborted in between once. So I
chose exactly the same options as I did earlier and
finished the install and then uninstalled and the next
install went fine. Also I assume you haven't installed
Blackberry software on the system.

You mentioned Blackberry and I'm getting the 0x80040706 error when
trying to install the Desktop Manager app via an MSI edited as per the
Blackberry KB note 'Repackaging the BlackBerry Desktop Software
Installer'.
