Had to reinstall win2k and all has gone ok except i cant
run MSI. Have followed the advice on 315346 but to no
avail. When i do a search for msiexec.exe files i find 3
called msiexec but no extension .exe. Is this
correct??.One of them is in WINNT\servicepackfiles\i386
another in WINNT\system32 and a third one in WINNT\system32
\dllcache. I know this one was produced by myself
following the instuctions in 315346 method 2,but even as i
tried the ren it said each file did not exist ????? I have
also tried reinstalling MSI after dowloading from MS but i
get an error "The specified service already exists"
Any ideas ..solutions greatly appreciated

you could try typing in the run command "msiexec -
unregister" and then try reinstalling it.
