unable to read .bin type files

I de-installed adobe reader, and then downloaded the
newest version.

Now when I try to open the .bin file from adobe, I am
flagged with an message, "unable to open please choose
other".

I cant find a program that will open this file and without
it I cant install adobe and read .PDF files.

I recovered/restored the deleted files from the recycle
bin but this did not correct the problem.
