I saved photos to a CD without putting them in a folder. When I try to delete them, I get a message that the files are read-only files. I tried properties, unmarking read-only, & apply - this is when I get message "An error occurred applying attributes to the file: Access is denied."

Any file copied to a CD-R is permanent. It cannot be removed.

If you are using a CD-RW you can send them back to your hard drive {My
Documents} then open My Computer and right click on the CD with the pictures
and erase it. Go back and put your pictures in folders and copy them back to
the CD. If you are using a CD-R you would have to use a new CD.

Val:

Your suggestion sounded good to me, too, so I opened the CD-RW I wished to
make changes on, selected all the images and attempted to move them back to
the folder from which they came (in My Documents), and still received the
"Access Denied" massage from the "Read Only" CD. It is a CD-RW so I'm still
confused as to why I can't make any changes (or send the photos back to the
computer to change them there)???

Thanks for any help!
