Hello,

I have two machines: Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 Server. I'm unable
to change the TCP/IP address of the two PC's. Although I'm logged in
as a local administrator. Since the PC's are connected to another
domain with a different TCP/IP configuration, I'm having these
problems. The Windows 2000 PC was already a member of the previous
domain. The Windows 2003 Server was a member of a workgroup. What can
be the problem of this situation? I'm not a domain administrator, so
is there a possibilty that I can solve this problem?

You need to tell us ***what exactly happens*** when you
try to change the IP addresses. Remember that we cannot
see your machine!

Everything is grayed out (Network > LAN connection > Properties >
Internet-protocol (TCP/IP) > Properties screen).
It seems like the local administrator doesn't have rights to change the
TCP/IP settings.

Perhaps you're not a local administrator after all. Try
changing them while logged on as a domain administrator.
And by the way, you may want to do something about
this stutter of yours . . . :-)

but ...

I'm surely the local administrator. I can add new users to the
administrators group. I can do everything except changing the TCP/IP
settings. Also the local administrator is a member of the
administrators group
I don't have a domain administrator password and I can't contact a
domain administrator.
