Hi There;

Please help me?
I already connected to RAS but I unable to connect internet or cannot browse
internet.
RAS is in Windows 2000 Server. On the server side, I can see that I'm
connected. But how come I cannot browse Internet?
What else do you think is lacking with my config?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Robert;

Thanks for your reply but still won't work.
Do I need to have 2 NIC in my RAS server?
On client side, when I'm connected to RAS this is the IPconfig,
IPAddress: 169.254.224.28
Subnet: 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway: 169.254.224.28
DNS Servers: 128.128.145.11, 128.128.145.12
Why I cannot browse (intenet,ping,network) from client side?
By the way, in our LAN we have proxy...the address is 128.128.145.5 and
gateway is 128.128.145.2..
Please advise.

Regards,
Walter

Try putting the proxy settings into the dialup connection properties of the
client. You do this from the internet Options icon in Control Panel. Click
the Connections tab then select the dialup connection, then settings.

Do you know why your dialup client is getting an APIPA (169.254.x.y)
address? Is the RRAS server set to use DHCP for this or have you set up a
static pool of addresses?

I already tried before putting the proxy settings into dialup connection
properties but it is still not working.
The RRAS server is set to DHCP. I also tried putting up static pool of
addresses but still not working..

It probably won't work if your client is getting an APIPA address. Your
dialup client should be getting an IP address which is in the same IP subnet
as your proxy server.
