I have updated to ATI's MMC 7.6 for my ATI AIW 128PRO

I have no problem with my display, or with file player (except for not being
able to take a still of a media file), but, I can't get TV player to work.

(Library don't work either - but I don't care about it)

When I open TV Player I get the following message:

THE TV PLAYER FAILED TO INTIALIZED THE VIDEO

CHECK THE WINDOW DEVICE MANAGER TO ENSURE THAT THE CORRECT VIDEO DRIVER HAS
BEEN INSTALLED AND IS WORKING PROPERLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO RESTART TV

Then I went to Device Manager, It seems to show everything working (no
yellow "!" ).

But, when I use ATI's system compatibility check I am informed that my only
thing that my system failed is : WDM devices are not listed in registry

So, if this is my problem, what is it and how do i fix it?

First, don't worry about the WDM devices warning, Mainframe, it's been a
known fault in the ATI configuration check for a long time and means
nothing. As long as you've got ATI WDM Rage Theatre and Specialized MVD WDM
VBI Codec showing in Device Manager without warnings, that should be Ok.

Your TV Player not initialising may be connected to your MMC Library
problem: several ATI installations have not included a needed .dll
(atioops.dll - I kid you not) and this causes the Library not to work.
Although the .dll is only needed for the Library, its non-presence does seem
to prevent the TV Player booting. The immediate workround is to uninstall
the Library app, but if you check the Rage3D forum at
http://www.rage3d.com/board/, you should be able to find a thread on this,
giving a location to download the .dll and instructions for installing it.

Thank You for your reply

However, It turned out that I did not need ATIOOPS.ini

After a few day of not doing anything I tried again to load MMC.7.6

It worked!

But, in the end I went back to MMC 7.1.

Why return to an lesser version?

Because it is the only version of MMC I have ever used in which the still
capture ability of File Player still works. In other versions the "camera"
icon is grayed out and usless (on the other hand it is not in TV player!).

Plus, Library (what ever it does) never even open.
