TSAC disconnect problems

Hi all

A client of ours that connects through the TSAC (ActiveX RDP client embedded
into a web page) last week reported that they were getting an 'Internal
Error' box popping up, like so:

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=10/27910281476.jpg&s=x10

At the time, my RDP 5.0 encryption was set to 'High', and I was getting
EventID 50 from TermDD in my Event Log. They were getting the message at
differing times throughout the day, after using the system ok for a time
even though they reported it was 'slow'.

So, after browsing the comments on www.eventid.net
(http://snipurl.com/csvb), I reduced my encryption to Medium, this was last
Friday. I called the site on Tuesday and they said all was well and the
speed was ok.

But now, the problem is back. I'm pretty sure it's a network problem
somewhere between here and there. They are connecting over the internet.

Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Dan

Just to clarify, they are connecting to a TS here in my office.

So you are running W2K on your Terminal Server?
Check if this applies:

898060 - Network connectivity between clients and servers may not
work after the installation of security update MS05-019 or Windows
Server 2003 Service Pack 1

How can I tell if the security update or the service pack has been installed
on my server? We have severe problems with TS through W2k. It used to be
rock solid and then we started having problems with random dosconnects.
Something must have changed and this sounds promising.

The obvious answer: in your change log for the server.

If you don't keep a record of when you install what on the server,
then you can see a list of previously installed updates on the
Windows Update site.
