typical when an antivirus program tell you that it found a virus which can
not be fixed it either quarantines it or deletes it.

positive. Hello
Although, there has been nothing published, it seem all but certain that the
case of the "Trojan Horse: SHeur.afj was a false positve for the AVG anti
virus. If this is the case can one return the vaulted files to their original
folder? When one places a suspect file in the vault is one actually
physically removing it from its original folder? Thanks.

Hi..You can try this, go to safe mode.. usually by hitting the F8 key
(although it might be different on your computer) when your systems boots!
Run AVG in safemode and see if it will heal or qauarantine the trojan., If
not go to www.grisoft.com There should be some information on how to get rid
of it... Rainy

When an antivirus moves a suspect file to a "vault" or "quarantine" it
does remove it from the file's original folder. You can send the file to
VirusTotal for identification if you like.

Thanks, Gerry. Apparently my old link doesn't work any more. Thanks for
giving me the new one. I've made a note of it.
