Transfering home video to computer

I have a Sont PC110 Camcorder. I have tried to use DVGate Plus, Moviemaker,
and Click to DVD to recognize and record video feed using the analog in plugs
on the front of the computer. No Luck. Do I need a firewire? If so, whhat
are the analog in plugs for? I thought this would be easier.....

If it's an analog camcorder, then you'll need a Video IN port on the PC or
an analog capture card or a VIVO capable graphics card.

MovieMaker doesn't really like analog video, something like Cyberlink's
PowerDirector or Intervideo's WinDVD Creator are both good editors, as are
Nero's NeroVision and Roxio's VideoWave.

Hi Craig

To capture video into your computer, you do need a Firewire cable and card.
Its pretty simple - its just that sometimes people get Firewire and USB all
confused. Please read the following article to understand how to do it
