hi,

need some help on how to transfer the dns setup for server a to server
b. What I am looking to do is reformat server a so we need the exact
same records and items on server b of course. Can anyone tell me the
easiest way of doing this? or the recommended way of doing this.
Thank you.

Many ways....
1) If zone is not AD integrated - copy text file with it.
2) Use Wizard to copy zone from another DNS on a
3) Don't create zone - set server a as forwarder for server b

On serverA, make sure the zone is set to Primary. Allow transfer for
ServerB. On serverB, create the same zone as secondary and specify ServerA
as the master. Let the transfer happen. Then when everything is on ServerB,
change the zone on serverB to Primary.

Done.
