what is this file <funcres.xla>. I am not able to open this file because it
asks for password. I dont remember to have given any passoword to any file. |

It's an add-in (Analysis tool Pack) that employs a hidden workbook, but you
still see it in the VBA editor. It contains code that extends Excel in-built capabilities. Look at Tools > AddIns and you a/some check-marks against the addins that you have installed. It's the Analysis Tool Pack add-in, de-select that add-in
