Default can't run .ins files - help!

Hi

This problem's driving me mad and I'd appreciate it if someone had an answer

I'm trying to run an essential .ins file from my service provider's site, but it keeps opening up the text of the file instead of bringing up a dialogue (open from this location etc...). I've since found this is the case with all .ins files I try to run within IE6.

Is it a windows problem or IE?

Does anyone know how to fix this? Using windows 2000 and IE 6

Thanks
SB

If you try right clicking on it, does it have an "install" option?

What file are you trying to run?

Who is your ISP?

Is this "dial-up" or cable?
