Hi,
we have had a similar problem with functions not translating correctly. The XIRR function (INTZINSFUSS ) is part of the Analysis ToolPak" (In the "Tools ....Add-Ins" menu) which is available in both german and english (and prob every other language) but it seems Excel is not always able to translate these correctly as it does with the built-in functions. The only solution I am able to offer (if it is one at all) is to use one Analysis ToolPak (either German or Engish) across all offices. The Add-In files should be located at ..\Programm Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\Library\Analysis\ANALYS32.XLL on a more or less standard installation. Actually, the file description of the XLL says "language neutral" on my machine (which prob means it doesn't work anywhere :-).
