Was on the verge of ordering one myself for my daughter's machine

Ever sniff a marketing ploy? Or just a good old fashioned cockup?

This was almost as good as PC World's offer of 25% off, where they had no stock

There is no free lunch.

I've had a bargain like this pay off maybe 3 times out of 100, so it can sometimes be worth a "gamble". I think this was a clever ploy to get lots of people on the mailing list, but they will no doubt have had 10+ monitors to give away for this price.

Annoying, but good for a lucky few I guess!
