RDP resets display after connection

After I disconnect my Remote Desktop session, the display on my desktop is
changed to the lowest resolution and color depth settings for the adapter.
This is a fairly new PC and the display adapter driver hasn’t changed. Also
the display being reset is a new occurrence, it never happened until this
week and now it happens after every RDP session. The RDP connection is set
for the same resolution & color depth as the PC.

Anyone have any ideas?
