Server Downtime 23/9/04

I have just received this e-mail from the hosting company that houses the dedicated server for this site. It basically means there will be a 10-20 minute window while they perform an upgrade to the servers (which is actually VERY useful in this case).

In an effort to better serve our customers, it is necessary for The Planet Engineers to perform maintenance on your servers. Several weeks ago, The Planet announced the release of our ROD (reboot on demand) Technology. This will allow for remote reboot and remote console access.
This maintenance is a necessary step in offering this service to you. Engineers will need to take your servers offline for a 10-20 minute time frame between the hours of 12:00am and 6:00am CDT on Thursday, the 23rd. We regret the short notice, however, we believe you will benefit from the new service.
