Default Graphics

Hi all,
First up what a great web sit
Now
My system OS =XP Pro
Gigabyte Motherboard GA-7ZXE
Via kt133a AGPset
Athlon XP 2000
512Meg SDRam
Creative 3D Blaster G-Force 3
Sound Blaster live
60 Gig hard drive
The problem
Can anyone please help my graphics have started to go corrupt everything on screen just become unreadable and blocky some time I get a screen full of small coloured spots,
(no I havent been at the fizz)
I have had this card for a year now with no problems ( until now)
this can happen at any time , sometimes just after boot up other times I can be up and running for hours no problem.
I have 2 case fans in my pc plus the sides of the case are off so I don`t think its a heat problem .I also have all the latest drivers so what do you think as my graphics card bought it or what
.

Default huh oh

One of two things ...

The graphics card is on its way out ... or ... try a new set of drivers from nVidia.

These work well for me ...
http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_41.09

If you still get the blocks etc., then it's time to look for a replacement card.

Before you go investing in a new card. Have you simply tried reinstalling the drivers that came with it?

Have you checked the windows device manager to see if there are any conflicting devices? Maybe you ave installed a new piece of hardware recently that has conflicting settings?

After that, open up the computer and make sure there isn't a collection of dust in there. This can cause overheating and poor performance from your components.
Also just have a quick check to make sure that card hasn't become loose.

good luck!
