Default cannot access https: pages

I have a WinXP SP 1 system, running IE 6 SP 1. All pages in IE work fine,
except any that use https://, such as hotmail login. All I get is "Page
cannot be displayed." I've checked for spyware/viruses, security settings,
firewall, encryption, etc. No help. I still cannot access these pages. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Jeff

Hi,
First try... Start> Run> (type in) regsvr32 softpub.dll [Enter]

Then (from Frank Saunders)
Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 443.
