Default video card problems
a friend has a gigabyte ga-81exp motherboard that we tried installing. we put in a ati xpert 128 (pci) video card and there was no video sync.

does any one have any idea why there is no sync and how do we fix it?

In motherboard settings have you got primary graphics adapter set to PCI/Internal rather than AGP.

Otherwise, check to make sure that the card is seated properly in the PCI slot
