Default Every collection shows a big red cross in it and will not play.

mm2(sp2) was working ok earlier today , now its started putting the red cross
through every collection I try to edit. Yet it still shows the time for each
clip and still has titles and music in some of them. What has happened ? I
have lost an awful lot of video if this cant be corrected.

The red "X" means that MovieMaker can't find your video. Double click on one
of the "X"'s and it should bring up a browse dialog from which you can point
MovieMaker to your video file. Did you move any of your files?
