Default problems capturing analog

I downloaded WMM 2.1 bought Pinnacles Dazzle 150 that comes with it's own
editing app. I can capture video with that but I really would rather use WMM.
However, everytime I hit capture it says "camera not detected". I can still
capture with the other app??? If WMM is looking for a Firewire signal how can
I change that setting to analog??? It's not under options or capture???

Thanks

Hello,

You must have a digital source to properly capture with Movie Maker.....you can
plug your analogue source into a capture device that will convert to
Digital...that could be a DV camera or a capture device....take note that you
definitely get what you pay for...the cheap capture devices are not so clever.

John, thanks for the reply. Are you saying that the Pinnacle Dazzle 150 is
not compatible??? This is what I am feeding the signal through into my laptop?

Hello,

No I don't know anything specific about the dazzle 150. I have access to the
distribution side of things and having seen a few of the cheaper devices and
some quite expensive devices the old adage you get what you pay for definitely
applies
