Capture of Dv

Please help can capture video from my samsung mini dv but no sound what am I
doing wrong

Is the camcorder connected to the PC via a firewire cable?

Hello,

Are you saying there is no sound during the capture, which is not unusual, or
are you saying that when playing back the captured clip there is no audio.
Hint, if you want to hear the audio whilst capturing from a DV camera...opening
the LCD screen usually turns the cameras speaker on...this is also useful when
capturing from an analog device through a DV camera.....

Samsung has a special audio codec for some of its dv camcorders. When it is
installed, you can hear the audio with the video. You will need to contact
Samsung to have them email the audio codec to you.
