Keep getting error message when saving

HI there,
i am pretty new to this, I am trying to save my friends wedding video but
everytime i get an error message, I have read all the help pages, scoured
this website and looked on ww.papajohn.org but i am still none the wiser. I
am using a Sony DCR-IP1E Handycam. I have defragmented and this still doesnt
work, I have tried to save just two photos and this still doesnt work.
Please help!!!!

What are you having trouble with? Getting the tape on to the pc or after
having editied the movie saving the final version on to the hard drive or
even back to cam?
I expect it could well be the first as the cam is a mmv model and not
minidv. If so, you will need to get software which is mmv compatible, such
as ulead video studio 8 or pinnacle 9.
