I've recorded a movie under movie maker 1 but the picture quality is very
poor. Is there anything I can use to improve this. I have a sony digitaal video camera (DCR-HC14E) and used a USB cable. My PC has an intel pentium 4 processor 3.06ghz |

Use firewire, it was designed specifically for capturing video, the
difference will amaze you!!! As the pc spec sounds good I'd assume you will have onboard firewire, also known as ieee1394/i-link.
