Lightbulb Quick audio problem solved

In another thread i mentioned that while swapping out a motherboard I shorted out the Line-In socket and couldn't get any sound at all. A friend suggested a simple solution: change the sound setting from 2-Channel to 6 Channel and try the speaker plug in the other sockets. I did this and, hey presto, it worked fine. I noiw have good sound again. It's only a temporary solution until I replace my board or buy a PCI soundcard, but if anyone else out there has a similar problem, this might work for you too.
