I purchased a DVD Writer but can not seem to save to it. The only options
are saving to Computer, CD, E-mail, Web, or DV Camera When I tried saving to CD, the program said the files are too large ( It's a wedding video). Is there a DVD Writer Patch ? |

Hello there,
Movie Maker does not have the ability to write to a DVD. It is usual for software to accompany a new DVD writer so that you can author a DVD -- Best Wishes.....John Kelly www.the-kellys.org www.the-kellys.co.uk --- All material gained from other sources is duly acknowledged. No Value is obtained by publishing in any format other peoples work |

XP does not include DVD writing software. You should use Save to My
Computer and then the third party software that came with the PC....Nero, Roxio, Sonic etc. -- Cari (MS-MVP Windows Client - Printing, Imaging & Hardware) www.coribright.com "Kiddo" <Kiddo@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A8E1C179-0AED-47B5-83F5-81C602DC6C34@microsoft.com... >I purchased a DVD Writer but can not seem to save to it. Cari,
Can Windows Movie Maker capture video from the DVD Player? Doug "Cari (MS MVP)" wrote: > XP does not include DVD writing software. From a standalone DVD player? If the DVD is not encrypted and you have a
S-Video in port, I would see no reason why a third party software could not capture it as standard analog video. Windows MovieMaker is designed for digital video. From a DVD ROM you would use something like TMPGEnc to create an MPEG file.
