Default Capturing and Preview

when i "capture" with my web camera (d-link) there is no "preview" in the box
(a black/gray screen) (i cannot see what i am recording)---although it does
record

also, when i have still photos or clips in my storyboard and i go to preview
them, the screen is blank

what gives?? how can i solve this problem???

thanks, joni

Hi Joni,

On your capture issue, which model of Dlink camera to you have? Sometimes
the drivers for devices don't give MovieMaker the necessary information to
display the preview, but do give enough to capture the file. On the preview
issue, what type of video card do you have?
1. Make sure you have the latest version of the video drivers.
2. Try disabling hardware acceleration and see if this helps.
Thanks,
