Both can be done:
1. place first clip. Use the cut tool (under preview) to cut the clip at the point you want to insert second video. Now put the second video. To make the sound going all the way. Just silence it in the main video track and place another instance of the "video" file in the music track. 2. To do reverse video you need external tools support, but it is real easy.
