I'm hoping someone can help me with a new problem I'm
having with MM2. It had been working properly until last weekend. Last weekend I installed the Pixelan demo. Since then, my video effects and transitions no longer "preview" in the preview window. I have to apply them to the file to see what they will look like. What can I do to fix this? I've already tried the following: installing the full Pixelan program; re-installing MM2; and accessing the effects preview through various means (spacebar, double-clicking, right-clicking, and pressing play in the preview window). I have an NVIDA card & understand there are certain issues with that card, but the patch was installed when I purchased the PC, and, as I said, the program was working prior to last weekend. I'd successfully made about 10 movies in the month I'd had this system. Any help/guidance you can offer would be appreciated. But with the amount of data I have in this system & the time it took me to transfer it from my old system, I am not prepared to do a System Recovery. Thank you for your help. -Robin |

Reinstall latest versions of:
- DirectX - Widnows Media Player - XP2 SP2 Reboot and check after each install. XP2 SP2 seems to be the cure for all these problems, although it is not a final release so should be considered only as the last resort. The DirectX file fixed it. Thank you so much!!!
And after referring to the postings Graham suggested, I saw mention of a SpyWare removal program that may have been the culprit for some. I remembered I installed -- then uninstalled -- the Earthlink Total Access program which includes a SpyWare removal component. There were other issues causing me to remove it, but there does seem to be a link. Thank you for your help!! -Robin >-----Original Message----- >Reinstall latest versions of: > >- DirectX >- Widnows Media Player >- XP2 SP2 > >Reboot and check after each install. > >XP2 SP2 seems to be the cure for all these problems, although it is not a >final release so should be considered only as the last resort. > >Rehan > > > >"Robin" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >news:2662901c46117$443a4cb0$a301280a@phx.gbl... >> I'm hoping someone can help me with a new problem I'm >> having with MM2.
