Default viewing movie made


i made a movie with windows movie maker project at home. i wanted to take it to show a friend at her house to see it. she has windows movie maker 2. it opens the file but doesnt display pictures or sound. does the computer im viewing it from have to have all the files used in the movie. thanks for any replies

No, it doesn't need the files, but it needs to be connected to the internet
so it can automatically get any needed codec... which is downloaded in the
background from a Microsoft site.

i am connected to the internet. i open the file which i saved to a cd and i opened the one i emailed to myself. they both have x's where the pictures and music should be.

Sounds like you took the project file and played it in your friend's Movie
Maker.... that's not the movie. You need to save the movie using File > Save
Movie File....

I had the same problem not being able to view a friend's movie file.
I opened movie maker but didn't see any option to File > save movie
file.... what am i missing?
