Default Effects and Transitions have dissapeared

I came home on Friday (May 28th), booted up my computer and opened Movie Maker 2 to find that all effects and transitions have dissapeared, except for "slow down" and "speed up"
After attempting to open movie maker in someone else's account on the same computer, rebooting the computer, and reinstalling movie maker, the problem was not fixed

Can anyone please tell me what to do to fix this.

Hello there,

Your problem seems to be on the increase. There are now rather a lot of
people having the same issue. Here is the contents of my movie maker
directory...would you compare it with yours and determine if all of the
files are there

Volume in drive C has no label.
Volume Serial Number is F08A-58BC

Directory of C:\Program Files\Movie Maker

05/04/2004 15:33 <DIR> .
05/04/2004 15:33 <DIR> ..
24/01/2004 21:23 <DIR> 1033
20/12/2002 14:06 3,366,912 moviemk.exe
17/10/2001 14:41 111,642 moviemk.prx
30/03/2002 10:48 <DIR> MUI
27/01/2004 19:58 <DIR> Shared
20/12/2002 14:04 217,600 WMM2AE.dll
20/12/2002 14:05 7,168 WMM2EXT.dll
20/12/2002 14:04 382,464 WMM2FILT.dll
20/12/2002 14:05 489,984 WMM2FXA.dll
15/01/2003 12:08 318,464 WMM2FXB.dll
11/10/2001 18:39 122,945 wmmfilt.dll
04/05/2004 21:00 319,551 wmmres.dll
11/10/2001 18:38 77,890 wmmutil.dll
10 File(s) 5,414,620 bytes
5 Dir(s) 30,347,542,528 bytes free

The DLL's and exe file should be exactly the same size and date.

Default OT: Hey John -- How'd you do that ?

I've often wanted to scoop the directory contents of a
path but could not figure out how to do that in Windows --
what's the secret maneuver ???

Thanks for your time.

Harry

Okay, I finally found the directory and checked. My
files are around the same size but slightly larger than
what you have listed. Is that my problem? How do I
remedy this?

Thanks!
