I am totally confused now and frustrated. I can not
figure out which format to use. To start what I have done is use still photos in the movie maker and set them to music as a movie. When I saved it as a wmv. file on my pc all was fine. That burnt to a cd fine. But I can not burn to a dvd at all. I tried saving it again as a dv-avi file and it will not recognize it. So next I converted it to a type II dv-avi to see if that works. It now recognizes it but when I try to burn it it only goes half way and then gives me an unknown error message. I have just been told that is because I need to save it as an mpeg not dv-avi. Can someone let me know which one is it supposed to be? And if it is supposed to be an mpeg how do you do that? And the software I am using is Pinnacle Instant Cd/Dvd. Thanks for any help I receive. |

Steve,
DVDs and TV in general use MPEG2 files, so making a DVD requires converting your movie to MPEG2 format. Because MM2 doesn't have an MPEG2 option, you're needing to use other software such as Pinnacle. Some DVD software can start with WMV files and others can't, needing DV-AVI.... And there are lots of methods to get from your saved movie to a DVD.... you just have to figure out one that works well for you. -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 - www.papajohn.org Photo Story 2 - www.photostory.papajohn.org ..
