Previewing MM2 on TV???

I am trying to preview my movie on a tv. I am able to make the connection, and view all of MM2 except the movie. The movie is showing on my notebook, but not on the tv

Also, does anyone know if you can record movies directly to a DVD Player/Recorder

Any thoughts

from your info, I understand that you use a dual output - your notebook
screen and the tv? that does not work! the video image can only be shown in
one of them. turn your laptop screen off (FN-F8 or so) and see if that works
