I'm trying to create a simple slideshow from scanned
photos using MM2. I've scanned the photos (all are either 5x7s or 7x5) at 300 dpi, saved as jpg. Most have a resolution of 1812x1196. I've experimented by saving the movie in several different formats such as DV-AVI, "Best quaity for playback on my computer...", etc. Yet regardless of the movie format, the images still come out significantly blurry. To illustrate, in IrfanView Full screen mode, I can clearly make out the smallest text on a street sign. But in WMP9 full screen, I can't even make out the larger letters on that same sign in the movie. I know others have asked this question before but I've yet to see an answer posted here*. How can I get the same clarity of the original jpg in a full screen movie? Do I need to crop my image to a certain H/W ratio? I've tried resampling to varios resolutions with Irfanview but that only made the pictures more blurry. The video will be projected via an InFocus projector from a Powerbook (Mac). Can someone help me get the best possible quality of these images from MM2? * I've seen several references to PapaJohn's pages, but the links all appear to be dead at this time. I'll check back tomorrow and hopefully they'll be back up. Thanks in advance, Joe |
