You can create an AutoRun CD that will launch the Windows Media Player
automatically.

By default, I believe Windows XP will search the drive an display the most
appropriate set of tasks. If the disk contains Windows Media files, the
Windows Media Player will be one of the options selected. There are
several third-party applications that will allow you to package
presentations on CD-ROM and have them automatically playback when inserted.

When you publish a movie from Movie Maker, you can output to Windows Media
or DV-AVI.
