greetings.
i captured several clips from a camera via moviemaker. i then renamed the clips, organized them the way i wanted and saved it as a project. the only thing that i didn't do is save it as a movie as i wanted to go back and add clips at a later time. today, i opened the project and noticed that the clips were no visable in the storyline and that the clips reverted back to their original name (didn't save the clips the way i renamed them). is there any reason for this and how do i prevent it from happenin again? thanks in advance for your assistance |

The clips in a collection are a stepping stone toward a project, and it's a
one way street. If you rename imported clips in a collection, before moving them into a project, the clip's name will be the same in the collection and in the project. If you copy a clip into a project, there's no way to rename it there. And, if you rename it in the collection, the new name does not get applied to the clip in the project. Project files are independent of the collection database, so you can have different names for clips in each, even if they are linked to the same source file. -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 - www.papajohn.org Photo Story 2 - www.photostory.papajohn.org ..
