Movie Maker spontaneously, without warning, shuts down while editing video. Why is this happening? No error messages appear. It just automatically closes. This is very frustrating.

Hi there,
You can download a program called "Rename Codecs" from my web site. It will allow you to rename codecs that are known to cause your problem. You do not need to know what they are or where they are stored or how to rename them. The program does the whole thing in just a few seconds. After using Movie Maker again and whether or not my program solves your problem you run Rename Codecs again and restore those files to their original names...again you do not need to know how/where etc...its all done for you Best Wishes.....John Kelly www.the-kellys.org www.the-kellys.co.uk "prmdoc" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:55271BEB-E8EE-4846-A6C7-D3D10B0195BB@microsoft.com... > Movie Maker spontaneously, without warning, shuts down while editing video.
